About Your LLI Teacher

I received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas and a Masters of Education from the University of Texas at Tyler.  I have presently taught Language Arts for 23 years. I am passionate about teaching and absolutely love my job as White Oak Middle School’s Reading Interventionist.

My husband of 29 years is Scott Floyd, White Oak ISD’s Chief of Technology.  We have an intelligent and compassionate son named Christian who is a senior in college, and a bright and beautiful 5th grade daughter named Alexis. We also have a stellar soccer player that happens to be a border collie named Jessie Clover.

My hobbies include hiking with my family, bible study, reading, gardening, and scrapbooking.

I am very excited about this school year.  Getting to know my students and their families is a special gift I receive apart of God’s call to teaching.
